Dr Ioannis Akkizidis is a senior consultant on risk management, working for IRIS integrated risk management ag in Zurich, Switzerland. He has work experiences worldwide in business and risk analysis and in designing and implementing advanced solutions in the risk-management field for the banking industry. Apart from his several publications in international journals, he is the main author of the books titled "Integrating Market, Credit and Operational Risk: A Complete Guide for Bankers & Risk Professionals" (2006) and the book titled "Guide to Optimal Operational Risk & Basel II" (2006).

Dr. Sunil is a Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB). He also holds a MBA (Finance) from University of Southern Queensland – Australia. His experience in finance and IT is spread over thirteen years and spans across diverse industry groups. He is also advising several banks in UAE in relation to risk management Basel II and IT applications. He is currently Senior Faculty and Head of International Certifications at Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies, Sharjah. He has conducted more than 100 training programs in the area of finance and IT application to banking. He has written numerous articles on financial market and IT security. He is a member of GARP, PRMIA, ISACA & EFA.

Dr. Jose Perez, Senior Consultant, IRIS, Switzerland, www.iris.ch

Dr. Jose Perez holds a Masters degree in Economics from the University of Basel, Switzerland and is certified as Financial Risk Manager by GARP. He joined IRIS as a Senior Consultant in 2004 and has been doing several implementation projects in the field of Basel II and IAS / IFRS. He has a strong theoretical and also practical background in financial risk management and RiskPro. In his spare time, he is a passionate chess player.
