Banking Diploma Program (IFS)

Overview
The Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial studies is a national training and educational entity founded in 1983 to cater to the human resources development needs of the UAE banking sector.

The Banking Diploma Program introduced in 1990 was the first program in UAE to focus on helping aspiring and existing bankers to improve knowledge in banking operations and enhance their qualifications. With many of the graduates of the program employed in the banking sector today, this program continues to be among the foremost supported by bankers and banks.

In 1998, an agreement was signed with the Chartered Institute of bankers, London, UK (now known as Institute of Financial services) to raise the standard of the Program. Accordingly, the Banking Diploma program is moderated by the Institute of Financial Services in terms of the curriculum, quality of instruction, and the final examinations and endorses the academic integrity of the program. As per decree no. 134, 2001, issued in July 2001, the Program is accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research, UAE.
