Higher Banking Diploma (ICB)


The Higher banking Diploma is to students who have graduated from the EIBFS Banking Diploma Program. The program is also open to candidates who are not graduates of the EIBFS banking Diploma but have a college /University education and business experience.

National and International Accreditation
The Higher Banking Diploma Program is accredited nationally by the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research (UAE) under decree no. 134, July, 2001. It is also accredited internationally by The Institute of Canadian Bankers (ICB), Montreal, Canada. ICB prescribes the textbooks, provides assignments and sets the final exams. Final exams are graded in Canada by ICB.

Qualifications Awarded
Students who successfully complete the program are awarded the "The Higher Banking Diploma" from EIBFS and the "AICB Designation" and certificate of achievements from ICB.The AICB Designation is a professional qualification in banking allowing the graduate to write A.I.C.B. after their name. It is highly respected locally, in Canada and Internationally.

Program Overview
The program consists of six subjects in banking and general business. The curriculum builds on the foundation gained by students in the Banking Diploma Program.

Duration of Study
■ The programs run five days per week, Sunday to Thursday – morning and evening sessions.
■ The program runs for three theoretical semesters (16 weeks each), and a summer course (8 weeks), which involves presenting the Field/"Integrative Project".
