(b) Institutional Membership
This category includes banks, companies, and governmental institutions
II. Procedure for Membership
Staff and students of the EIBFS will get automatic membership. For the banks' staff and others, to get the library membership the applicant should fill the application form and his/her employer should approve it. For the individual applicant, the membership fee should be AED 50 for bankers, and 100 for others per annum, and for the institutional membership the fee should be AED 1000 for one year.
III. Member Services
1. An individual member will receive a library card and will be entitled to use the library for one year, borrow three items at a time, and receive an e-copy of all library new acquisition lists and the indexed materials.
2. For the institutional members, the member institution will receive five library cards that enable the institutions to borrow fifteen items at a time. The five cards can be used by any of the institution's staff.
3. From among the library collections, only non-reference books and videocassettes should be available for circulation. Current issues of periodicals and training materials are for you use inside the library.
4. Each user with a valid library card will have the right to borrow three permissible items for a maximum period of ten days.
5. In case of delayed returns of library materials, a late fee of AED 5 per day should be charged.
6. Damaged and lost library items should be charged at replacement cost (at the date of replacement) plus 10% as an administrative charge. |
